This is a psychoeducation series designed for you and your partner. Becoming a parent creates many changes. It changes the household, the relationship dynamic, and who we are and what is important to us.
The Bringing Baby Home (BBH) group is a research based psychoeducational workshop that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families. The material is based on over 20 years of relationship research conducted by Drs. John and Julie Gottman.
Not only will this program teach you and your partner what to expect during the transition to parenthood, it will also help you do things like:
Better understand child development
Create co-parenting strategies with your partner
Improve the way you and your partner communicate, connect, and compromise
Recognize signs of postpartum mood disorders and gain awareness of treatment options
Completing this series has been shown to:
Increase intimacy and affection within your relationship
Work through conflict at greater ease and reduce hostility
Create positive parent-child interactions
Reduce hostility
Ensure quality involvement for both parents
Reduce the incidence or severity of postpartum mood disorders
$550 per couple
